Dublin Taxi Prep is operated by Umer Hassan. Developed by Umer Hassan. Umer Hassan is responsible for personal information used to provide the app. For privacy questions or requests, email support@dublintaxiprep.online. Never send your password.
Account information
When you create an account, your email address and password are sent to Supabase Authentication to register and verify your account. Authentication creates an account identifier and manages verification, sign-in and password-reset information. The app uses your account identifier and email address and lets you provide or change a display name. You do not need to provide a home address, phone number, identity document or payment information to use the current app.
Learning information
Practice and mock-exam information is linked to your account. This includes the module and topic selected, questions assigned to a session, answers selected, skipped questions, correctness, scores, session timestamps and question progress. Bookmarks identify questions you save. This information lets you resume practice, review answers and see progress across devices. Practice results are educational feedback, not official examination or licensing results.
Information on your device
The app stores preferences and session information locally, including appearance, haptic feedback, completion of onboarding, the current practice-session identifier, recent-result identifier and mock-exam deadline. Authentication software also maintains session information so you can remain signed in. Signing out ends your app session but does not delete learning records held on the server. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or server records.
Why information is used
Account and learning information is used to provide the service you request, including account access, saved progress, bookmarks and support. Where the GDPR applies, the lawful basis for these activities is performance of our service agreement. Information necessary to investigate abuse or secure the service is used for our legitimate interest in protecting accounts and operating a reliable service. We process information when necessary to meet applicable legal obligations. The signup acknowledgement of this policy explains our practices; it is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing or tracking.
Support messages
Contact buttons open your email application. A message reaches Umer Hassan only if you choose to send it. We use your address, message and any information you include to respond to your request. Please avoid sending passwords, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information.
Service providers and connections
Supabase provides authentication and the backend used for account and learning records. Question images are loaded from their configured online sources. Network services receive the connection information needed to deliver requests and resources. The app uses service providers to deliver its functionality; it does not contain an advertising or behavioural-tracking feature. Your account and learning records are not displayed to other learners in the current app.
This website
This website provides app information, legal notices and support links. It does not contain an account signup form, a contact-submission form, advertising scripts or an analytics integration. Support links open your email application; a message is sent only if you choose to send it.
The public website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes the network and technical information needed to deliver and protect requests, which can include IP addresses and request metadata. This hosting activity can involve processing outside your country. Cloudflare information about its processing and privacy practices is available at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. This notice remains the operator’s privacy notice for Dublin Taxi Prep; Cloudflare’s notice does not replace it.
Google Maps
Google Maps learning tools are optional. When you tap a map button, the app opens Google Maps in an external app or browser and sends the place-search text or route origin and destination shown by that tool. The app does not request device-location permission or send your Supabase account identifier with these map links. Text entered in the map-learning studio is used to form the link and is not saved in the app's account or quiz tables. Avoid entering a private address if you do not want Google to receive it. Security and international processing
The app connects to its configured Supabase and map services using HTTPS. Keep your password private and sign out on devices other people can access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Service-provider arrangements can involve processing outside your country. Contact support@dublintaxiprep.online for information about processing locations and applicable international-transfer arrangements.
Retention and account deletion
Account and learning records remain associated with your account so the app can provide saved progress. The current app does not automatically erase inactive accounts. Local app preferences remain until removed by your device, app storage is cleared, or the relevant preference is changed. Support records are retained for handling the request and any applicable legal requirements.
You can request deletion of your account and associated learning information through Settings → Delete account or by emailing support@dublintaxiprep.online from the email linked to your account. The current in-app route opens a support email; it does not itself delete data or confirm that a request has been received. We may need to verify account ownership. Signing out or disabling an account is different from deletion. Ask us which records will be removed, the expected completion time and whether any information must be retained for a legal reason.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can edit your display name and remove bookmarks in the app. Send other requests to support@dublintaxiprep.online and include enough information to identify your account. We may verify identity to protect it. You can complain to your relevant data-protection authority. In Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission: https://www.dataprotection.ie.
Intended audience and policy changes
Dublin Taxi Prep is intended for learners preparing for professional SPSV driver knowledge assessments. It is not designed as a children's service. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. We may update this policy when the app or its processing changes. The date above identifies the version you are reading.
